Like previous years, the meeting will take place on the first day of the holy month of Ramadan at Imam Khomeini (RA) Husseiniya (religious center) in Tehran.
Quran experts, memorizers, and reciters as well as Tawasheeh and Ibtihal groups and eulogy reciters will be present at the event.
It will include recitation of verses from the Quran by prominent Qaris and Quran masters.
Ayatollah Khamenei will also address the Quranic event and led congregational prayers at the end of the gathering.
Ramadan, the ninth month in the Islamic lunar calendar, starts on May 27 this year.
During Ramadan, Muslims fast as an effective way of practicing self-discipline. They are also expected to strengthen their character through self-restraint, charitable-giving and introspection.
Reading, reciting and contemplating the Holy Quran is also a major activity for Muslims during the holy month.
