Slated to be launched on Tuesday, the event aims to showcase Bangladesh’s Islamic cultural heritage to the Muslim countries across the globe, according to the Dhaka Tribune.
ICTM is a registered entity of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
Bangladeshi Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Shahjahan Kamal on Sunday said Dhaka will be recognized as an “Islamic Tourism City” in the upcoming conference.
“Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will formally inaugurate the conference on Tuesday (February 6),” Shahjahan Kamal said at a press conference.
OIC Secretary General Yousef bin Ahmed al-Othaimeen, and 85 others representatives from 57 countries, including 15 ministers, will attend the conference.
