Quran Memorizers Honored in Yemen
TEHRAN (IQNA) – Some 50 women Quran memorizers were honored in a ceremony held in Wadi Dawan town of Yemen’s Hadramout Governorate.
According to the Hadramout website, the women were awarded by the director of the scientific centers affiliated to Seleh Institute in the governorate.
The mothers of the Quran memorizers were also honored in the ceremony.
Also, 12 women Quran memorizers from Labaneh Barshid region of the town participated in this year’s program for the first time.
Quranic activities continue in Yemen despite a nearly-four-year aggression launched by Saudi Arabia and its allies against the impoverished Arab country that has left thousands killed and many more injured and homeless.
