According to Al-Kawthar’s public relations office, the MoU was signed during a trip by Mazin Hamdan al-Maliki, the head of the Iraqi network, to Iran.
In his meeting with Morteza Shamsi, the Iranian channel’s director, the two sides agreed to boost mutual cooperation in production of TV programs and facilitate the interaction of Iranian and Iraqi media activists.
The MoU also aims to promote cooperation in producing programs that disseminate moral and cultural virtues according to Ahl-ul-Bayt’s (AS) teachings.
Al-Kawthar TV is a Tehran-based Arabic-language television channel. Launched in 2006 by Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting. It broadcasts religious and cultural programs mainly for Arab audience in the Middle East and North Africa.
Al-Naeem TV Channel is a member of the Islamic Radio and Television Union and has a large number of audience in Iraq.
