Senior Iranian Cleric Hospitalized

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Shia source of emulation Ayatollah Nasser Makarem Shirazi was hospitalized.

Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi has been admitted to hospital for treatment.

“General weakness” has been cited as the reason for the senior cleric’s hospitalization.

The faithful have been asked to pray for his speedy recovery at the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan.

Born in 1924 in Shiraz, Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi is an Iranian Shia source of emulation.

He is the author of Nemouneh Exegesis of the Holy Quran.
