‘A Lifetime with Quran’: Ceremony to Honor Tehran’s Veteran Quran Activists

TEHRAN (IQNA) – A ceremony is planned to be held in Tehran in October to honor some of the city’s veteran Quranic figures.

 

The 19th edition of the event, named “A Lifetime with the Quran” is slated to be held on October 8, Rahim Khaki, head of the Quran Culture House in Tehran said.

He made the remarks at the conclusion of the Seraj Quran Programs, hosted by the culture house.

Khaki noted that the ceremony had been planned to be organized earlier but was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The 18th edition of the annual “A Lifetime with the Quran” ceremony which is aimed at appreciating the achievements and services of veteran Quran activists who have spent their life to promote the Quranic culture was held in 2019.

Quran scholar and researcher Hojat-ol-Islam Seyed Javad Beheshti, Quran activist Mohammad Badpa, Quran expert Hassan Rabeiyan, Quranic artist Mahmoud Pakniyat, and female Quran activist Forouq Sadat Mousavi Baladeh were honored in the previous edition.
