An international conference titled “Role of Muslim World in Global Power Geometry” is planned to be held in Tehran later this month.

The conference will be held in the Iranian capital on March 11-12.
Head of the conference’s policy-making council Ali Akbar Velayati said Muslim figures from almost all Islamic countries have been invited to the conference.
Speaking to reporters on Sunday, Velayati added that former Iraqi prime minister Ibrahim Jafari, senior members of the Islamic resistance movements of Palestine and Lebanon, and leading figures in the Islamic Awakening movements of Egypt, Tunisia, and Yemen will be among the participants in the conference.
He said such international events should bring about practical outcomes, and play a role in bringing developments in Muslim societies and spreading relations in the Islamic world.
Velayati went on to say that the common purpose of all of those who take part in the Islamic Awakening movement is to help rid their countries of tyranny and colonialism and to spread Islamic values and enhance Muslim unity.
The conference on “Role of Muslim World in Global Power Geometry” will be held by Iran’s National Defense University in cooperation with the Secretariat of Islamic Awakening Assembly and the Strategic Research Center.
