Quran Expo, Opportunity for Promoting Culture of Acquaintance with Quran

Cultural deputy of Iran's Ministry of Science, Research and Technology said the Quran exhibition is a good opportunity for promoting the culture of acquaintance with the Holy Quran.

Zia Hashemi made the remark at a ceremony held in the 22nd International Holy Quran Exhibition on Monday night to honor a number of prominent Quranic scholars of the country.
He also said this year's exhibition has arranged good expert forums featuring Quranic issues.
Hashemi further referred to the ministry's plans for promoting Quranic activities in universities and academic centers and said the priority is to spread the culture of contemplating the Quran.
He added that the science ministry has signed a memorandum of understanding with the ministry of culture to start a new movement in the field of Quranic activities in universities.
The official also pointed to the upcoming national Quran competition for university students and said Payame Noor University will host the contest in November.
