TEHRAN (IQNA) – Iran’s strategy in the international arena is taking recourse to the Holy Quran as a source (of all solutions), cultural deputy of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO) said.

Mohammad Hossein Hashemi made the remark in a ceremony held Wednesday night to inaugurate the international section of the 23rd Tehran International Holy Quran Exhibition.

He added that the unfortunate conditions of the Muslim world today, especially after the emergence of Takfiri terrorist groups, Iran takes recourse to the Quran.

“The Muslim world is facing very critical and regrettable events and serious challenges,” Hashemi said, referring to the emergence of Takfiri and Salafist groups with the backing of the Zionists and some Western and Arab countries as one of these challenges.

He said that the Zionists and other enemies of Islam have targeted the unity of the Muslim world and, unfortunately, diverted the Islamic Awakening movement.

Hashemi reiterated that the Islamic Republic of Iran believes that following the teachings of the Holy Quran and Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS), who are the interpreters of the Quran, is the solution to the problems of the Muslim Ummah.

He said holding the international Quran exhibition is in line with this approach, stressing that the expo has turned cultural diplomacy to Quranic diplomacy.

Elsewhere in his remarks, the official stated that the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization, which is in charge of running the international section of the Quran exhibition, has organized various Quranic programs in 40 countries during the holy month of Ramadan.

The international section of the 23rd Tehran International Holy Quran Exhibition will run for a week.

12 artists from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Iraq, Kuwait, France, Syria, Pakistan and Afghanistan have showcased their Quranic artworks at the section.

The exhibition was launched in the Iranian capital city on Wednesday, June 24.

The Quranic event is annually mounted by the ministry of culture and Islamic guidance.

It is organized during the blessed month of Ramadan with the aim of stimulating development and promotion in concepts of the Noble Quran.

The expo showcases the latest developments and achievements in Quranic sciences, activities and products.
