Mahfel TV Show: Iranian Boy, 11, Shocks Experts as Lebanese Qari Delivers Moving Recitation

IQNA – One of the final episodes of the second season of Mahfel TV Show featured a young Iranian qari and memorizer as well as a Lebanese qari whose recitations were hailed by experts and the audience.

 

Mahfel, a Quranic TV show that is aired on the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) during the holy month of Ramadan, has attracted millions of viewers who tune in just before breaking their fast to listen to the Holy Quran.

In the episode that was aired on Sunday, 11-year-old Iranian qari and memorizer Mohammad Saleh Mahdizadeh shocked the panel of experts with his enchanting Quran recitation.

He recited verses from Surah Al-Infitar.

Mahdizadeh committed the whole Quran to his memory at 9 after three years of working. He mainly follows the styles of Mustafa Ismail and Mustafa Ghalwash in recitations.

Another guest of this episode was Mohammed Ali Qassem from Lebanon who recited verses from Surah Al-Anbya.

Qassem also pointed to the ongoing developments in the region, including Israeli attacks against southern Lebanon, noting that this year’s Ramadan is different from other years.
