TEHRAN (IQNA) – Some questions are universal and are there in the mind of every human being. One of them is about our fate. What is the outcome of life and what will be our fate? This has been discussed in the Quran within the concept of Ma’ad (Resurrection).

Life after death

There is no one who does not have questions about what will be the future of man and the world. What will ultimately be our end? What is the purpose and result of life? These questions are there in everyone’s mind. That is why the concept of Resurrection has a great significance in everyone’s intellect and Fitrat (nature).

The word Ma’ad comes from the root of Auwd, which means return and rising again, and refers to life after death. Some one-third of the verses of the Holy Quran are about Ma’ad and issues related to it.

Belief in Ma’ad is a fundamental tenets of Islam and based on this belief, one’s deeds are assessed on the Day of Judgment and then he is rewarded or punished for their good and bad deeds.

There are two types of answers to the above-mentioned questions about the fate of human beings;

1- All divine faiths, based on reasons that will be mentioned later, consider the future of human beings and the world and the outcome of their efforts to be very bright and promising.

The Holy Quran says: “…and that the final return is to your Lord.” (Verse 42 of Surah An-Najm)

2- Materialistic schools see the future of the world and humanity to be dark, a dead-end, destruction and non-existence. This view is very dangerous and despairing. Moreover, these schools have no scientific reason to prove this idea.

The Holy Quran says: “They say: ‘There is nothing except this life, we die and we live, it is only time that destroys us.’ Surely, of this they have no knowledge, they are just guessing.” (Verse 24 of Surah Al-Jathiya)

This denial is not based on reasoning and proof but only based on a series of illusions and delusions that they have.
