Iranian Qari’s Recitation at Closing Ceremony of Fajr Int’l Film Festival

He recited verse 285 of Surah Al-Baqarah as well as Surah Al-Kawthar of the Holy Book at the event:

“The Messenger believes in what has been sent down to him from His Lord, and so do the believers. Each believes in Allah and His Angels, His Books, and His Messengers, we do not differentiate between any one of His Messengers. They say: 'We hear and obey. (We ask) Your forgiveness Lord, and to You is the arrival.” (Verse 285 of Surah Al-Baqarah)

“(Muhammad), We have granted you abundant virtue. So worship your Lord and make sacrificial offerings. Surely your enemy is the one who shall be without posterity.” (Surah Al-Kawthar)

Winners of the festival were announced and awarded the closing ceremony of the major cinematic event, which was held at Tehran’s Milad Tower on Saturday night.

It is held annually on the occasion of the anniversary of Iran’s 1979 Islamic Revolution victory.

Jafar Fardi was born in 1981. He started learning Quran recitation at the age of 8 by attending the Quranic sessions held by Mohammad Hossein Saeedian in Tehran.

In 2013, he came first in Iran’s National Quran Competition and went on to win the top prize in the country’s 31st International Holy Quran Competition.
