Hamas Urges Palestinian Youths to Intensify Resistance against Occupiers
In a statement on Saturday, Hamas offered condolences on the martyrdom of Fawzi Hani Makhalfeh, an 18-year-old Palestinian by the Zionist forces.
It said the Israeli crime can never cast terror into the hearts of the heroic Palestinian nation or bring security to the occupation regime.
The brave Palestinian people will continue to resist against the occupiers and defend Al-Aqsa Mosque and the holy city of Al-Quds, the statement added.
Hamas also urged the youths of Palestine to intensify their resistance and confrontation with the Israeli forces and illegal settlers using all possible means.
The Israeli regime forces killed Fawzi Hani Makhalfeh during a raid on Sebastia town, near Nablus, in the occupied West Bank, on Friday.
He was martyred when the Zionist forces opened fire upon a vehicle in Sebastia. Another Palestinian was injured in the shooting.
Local sources said the Zionists fired over 40 bullets at the car.
Shortly before the fatal shooting, Makhalfeh had just passed his high school exams and was in good spirits, local media reported.
The killing came as part of a year-long period of violence, marked by repeated Israeli raids on the occupied West Bank, which has shown no signs of abating.
The shootings bring the number of Palestinians killed this year in the occupied Palestinian territories, which includes East Jerusalem al-Quds and Gaza, to 202, with 165 of those in the occupied West Bank, said Khan.
