IQNA – Nouf Abdul Rahman Al Kindi, a 17-year-old Yemeni expatriate grappling with a severe blood infection while residing in the UAE, has turned her personal struggle into a transformative act of generosity.

With the support of local organizations, she has realized her dream of constructing a mosque, establishing a Quranic school, and ensuring access to clean drinking water in a distant village.

From the tender age of 6, Nouf experienced extreme fatigue, high body temperature, and other health challenges associated with a viral blood infection. Her journey took a significant turn when her family discovered the severity of her condition, necessitating extensive treatment. Abdulrahman Al Kindi, Nouf's father, shared, "As the treatment continued, her condition progressively worsened. As part of the treatment plan, we had to travel to Korea where she eventually made a remarkable recovery."

During her recovery, Nouf expressed a desire to make a lasting impact on the lives of others. The family approached the Abu Dhabi-based Make a Wish Foundation, known for granting wishes to children facing serious and life-threatening diseases. To everyone's surprise, Nouf's wish wasn't for personal gain; instead, she aspired to fulfill the needs of the less fortunate, Khaleej Times reported.

Hani Al Zubaidi, CEO of the Make a Wish Foundation, reflected on the encounter with Nouf, stating, "She was a child radiating joy and happiness. Surprisingly, her wish wasn’t to get anything for herself, but to grant the wishes of the needy."

Nouf envisioned constructing a mosque, a school for Quranic studies, and providing clean drinking water in an impoverished area. The foundation initiated a fundraising campaign, with significant contributions from partners, including the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Humanitarian and Charity Establishment, ultimately realizing Nouf's vision in Kyrgyzstan.

Upon witnessing the happiness and emotions of the villagers in Jalal Abad province, Nooken district of Kyrgyzstan, Nouf expressed her overwhelming joy.

"I was overjoyed seeing my dream materialize and witnessing the happiness on the faces of the villagers, who now have a mosque, a school, and access to clean water. I felt fulfilled because I made an impact in their lives," she said.

Nouf found excitement in joining other children at the newly established school for Quranic studies. "It's an indescribable feeling after realizing my wish. I feel proud of being the reason for their happiness."
