TEHRAN (IQNA) – There has been extensive propaganda underway to introduce Islam as a religion that considers women to be weak and incapable. This is while the divine religion attaches a high position to women.

Islam does not consider women as having weak character, rather, the position that is attributed to them is sometimes higher than that of men.

From Islam’s point of view, man and woman are equal and they do not have any superiority before God except for their level of Taqwa (piety). “People, We have created you from a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes that you might know one another. The noblest of you before Allah is the most righteous of you. Allah is the Knower, the Aware.” (Surah Al-Hujurat, verse 13)

Moral values, belief, practical knowledge, good behavior, and patience are among the elements of Taqwa and any woman who acquires these virtues will be nobler before Allah than any other man and woman who does not possess them. God has pledged to reward the righteous.

“For whosoever does a righteous deed, be they believing men or women, We shall recompense them with their wage according to the best of their deeds.” (Surah An-Nahl, verse 97)

According to Islam, men and women do not have any difference in life management as women can independently choose their profession and have their own earnings. “For men is a share of what they earn, and for women is a share of what they earn.” (Surah An-Nisa, verse 32)

Therefore, except for some issues that relate to their nature, men and women have no difference. It is clear that the prosperity of humans depends on their deeds. “Therefore set your face to the religion purely, the upright creation upon which He originated people. There is no changing of the creation of Allah. This is the valuable religion, although most people do not know?” (Surah Ar-Rum, verse 30)
